Makeup Application Tips and Techniques for Actors and Non-actors Alike

This educational self-improvement class is for actors and non-actors alike. Actors will learn how to apply their own makeup for auditions, interviews and go-sees in addition to the basics needed to apply their own makeup on a low-budget shoot. This class is also idea for non-actors who are interested in receiving up-to-date makeup application tips and techniques to improve their own application.

Course Objectives

Participants will learn the do's and don'ts of makeup in various settings, ie. office, interviews, auditions, evening
Participants will have some hands-on opportunities through each step
Participants will be able to ask questions and learn how to solve makeup myths.

IMPA Network Night

Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Java Joe's in downtown Des Moines - This FREE event is open to IMPA members and the general public. It's a chance to learn more about the production industry in Iowa. Compare notes on a project you're doing (or would like to do) with others in the industry. Saturday, May 19, 2012, starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Stoney Creek Inn in Johnston - Attend the Iowa in ACTion workshop/panel discussion with Tanna Frederick, Ron Vignone, Jim Brockhohn, John Busbee, Kim Busbee and Jolene Pfaff. Enjoy the red carpet event hosted by the Solminod media team, with food and music from Mary McAdams and Dustin Louis Blank, and see who will be named as Iowa's best during the annual IMPA Awards Ceremony, hosted by Sonya Doswell.
